Louis Vuitton outfits intersection in Hong Kong

[Hong Kong] Louis Vuitton has dressed up a Hong Kong intersection frequented by well-heeled shoppers and finance executives with an innovative outdoor ad. To announce the expansion of an LV flagship store in the center of Hong Kong's luxury shopping district, the marketer transformed renovation scaffolding around the Landmark Building to resemble an iconic LV hard-case canvas trunk, complete with faux-brass fittings and a cherry monogram print from the fashion house's spring-summer leather-goods collection. The 3D ad, created in-house in collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, measures 26 feet high and 151 feet by 59 feet wide. The execution, which took 20 craftsman two months to complete, is the latest in a series of trunks erected during the renovation of LV stores in Paris, Shanghai and other cities. When completed in December, the expanded LV store will dominate several levels of the Landmark's facade.
